Before July 4th, the day of the Independence of the United States, most New Yorkers expect it planning what to do that day. In New York takes place the largest firework of the country, and it is a special day for those who scheduled a trip to the Big Apple. Each year some 30,000 explosives are used, with an average of 1,000 explosions per minute. This event is traditionally hosted by the famous Macy’s store chain, one of the largest in the country.
The fireworks started around 9 p.m. and the show lasts 26 minutes or so, and the lights are synchronized with music, making the show an unforgettable experience.
With to this incredible firework, other typical attractions are organized, and it worth a visit, like the Hot Dogs Competition, which takes place in Coney Island, with participants competing with dozens of “hot dogs” . Another point of interest is the street fair; open from 10 am until 8 p.m. on Water Street between Fulton and Broad St. There you will find hundreds of sellers offering all kinds of goods, foods and crafts from around the world.
